Squire's Mission

Tabletop wargaming is brilliant, but it's weirdly hard to get into. Squire is here to make it easier for everyone to play — veterans and newcomers alike. Building a list should be fun, tracking a game should be quick, and seeing each other's rosters should be effortless. And following YOUR captain across years of battles? That's the part nobody else bothers with.

Why I built it

I've been playing tabletop games on and off for over 20 years and writing software for over 15. I've wanted to build something like Squire that lets me quickly build lists and track my games for a long time. I've used some other options but going in and out of menus or trying to find a page to see a unit's stats has always been frustrating, especially in the middle of a game (and I have a terrible memory).

Squire is what I've always wanted in an army builder and game tracker. Plus I came up with this awesome logo for it 8 years ago and I've always wanted to use it for something.

Why Squire is free

No subscription. No premium tier. Nothing locked behind "upgrade to unlock." If you came to build a list, you'll never hit a wall asking for your card.

If Squire does well and people love it: I want to use it to help the shops and makers in this hobby reach the people who'd actually want their stuff. Marketing is hard, and there are small makers with genuinely cool things you'd love if you ever heard about them. I'd like to make that easier — for them and for you.

What I won't do: generic ad-network slots, anything that isn't tabletop, or selling your data.
